  1. It's up to you.  First and foremost it is really helpful if a coachee wants to be coached and isn’t in some way being compelled to do it by someone else.

  3. That said, anyone can benefit from being coached, with one caveat;

  4. It is important to understand that coaching is not a medical or clinical practice in the way that psychiatry, psychotherapy and counselling is.  Therefore it is very important that you think carefully about your own mental well being.  It is a fine line sometimes, but a coach should not try to coach someone who is really in need of psychiatric help.
